Viewing Notes

A shockingly unfunny spoof of soap operas peaks with the opening credits set to a catchy song and featuring a nude woman lathering up with a bar of, well, soap. After that it’s countless boobs (the movie does make good on that promise, exhaustively) interrupted occasionally by skits meant to lampoon commercials of the era. These commercials get lazier as the movie progresses until finally they are not longer selling any (fake) product and instead just feature women in various stages of dress attempting a joke.

The only not-so-boring moment comes in the form of a jaw-dropping statutory rape sequence played for laughs and set against a soundtrack of upbeat calliope music.

Mind-numbing in so many ways.
