Viewing Notes

Filled in this embarrassing De Palma gap. Much of De Palma’s style is already established but the film is a bit frustratingly straightforward. It’s hard to view this film through the eyes of someone who hasn’t seen the rest of body of work (not to mention so many Hitchock films and countless others influenced by that body of work) but I imagine its impact is greatly diminished. Great performances and a great stinger of a final shot.
