Viewing Notes

This movie had never quite stuck out in Cohen’s filmography despite his being one of my favorite filmmakers. Fortunately, the film didn’t disappoint and Cohen’s ability to mash-up several genres into something unique is on full display. While it doesn’t totally capitalize on its brilliant setup, there’s so much to love in this film, so much low-key wackiness (until the completely insane finale) one can’t help enjoying it. Plus Red Buttons!
