Overview
A South American plane loaded with an assortment of characters crash lands in a remote jungle area in the middle of a storm. The passengers then discover they are in an area inhabited by vicious cannibals and must escape before they are found. A remake of Five Came Back (1939).

Viewing Notes
Alpha males, a plane crash, and the threat of headhunters. This is a melodrama that takes a while to start simmering. But once Robert Ryan, as an alcoholic airline pilot, and Rod Steiger, as a convicted killer, show up, the drama is on firmer footing. The proceedings are bolstered by Gene Barry (sniveling coward), Jesse White (surprisingly strong), and Fred Clark (bounty hunter). Anita Ekberg smolders as best she can.
