Ferociously entertaining and moves like a freight train, until it slows down for a third act that jumps the tracks in the most bizarre yet compelling and outrageous fashion possible. So, yes, I kinda loved it.
Peter Berg vs. Mitch Pileggi make for a great hero/villain teaming, with Michael Murphy adding the kind of oddball ballast that makes the film a dreamy treat. Wes Craven makes the most of his creative freedom here as writer/director.
