Dead Heat is completely hilarious. Treat Williams and Joe Piscapo are cops who investigate a group of bad guys who are bringing things bad to life. Treat Williams ends up dead continues to work the case.
This is classic 80s cheese that perfectly mixes horror and comedy. One of those great, under appreciated films that I was lucky to get pointed to by Brian Kelley.
Highlight for me was not only the great dialogue but the scene of them going to bust this Chinese man in the back of his restaurant when he turns on the lift giving machine and they have to fend off all the dead animals now come to life. Watching Treat Williams wrestle with an ox/cow corpse and Joe Piscapo fend off duck and chicken carcasses is something I’ll never forget.
A total watch if you get the chance!
