Shakma is one badass baboon who kills off a bunch of exceptionally stupid med students. We start with Roddy McDowell injecting a syringe full of pee or something into Shakmas brain. He goes nuts and this nerd stabs him with a needle which they think kills him. So they go to throw him in the incinerator but McDowell says not to. Then they proceed to lock themselves in the building with the angry monkey to play a very bad LARP game when the starts offing them one by one.
To say Shakma isn’t a good movie would be an understatement. It’s full of plot holes, the acting is terrible, the script is bad but with a group it’s a perfect shit talking good time. I enjoyed Shakma but only because of the good company, laughs, and the attack scenes are pretty good. Supposedly they put a female baboon in heat behind the doors to get Shakma riled up. It works. That fucking monkey goes ape shit. Pun intended.
Barely a horror movie but fun in the end!
