Artie Lange: Jack and Coke (2009)

Directed by Scott DePace

Comedy

Overview

As raw and offensive as ever, Artie Lange returns to his roots in Jack and Coke, shot at one of his favorite clubs in his beloved New York City. One of America’s funniest stand-up comedians, Lange’s irreverent, uncensored humor gets huge laughs from this NYC crowd. The culmination of nearly four years of touring, Jack and Coke includes nearly an hour and a half of insanely honest material.

Viewing Notes

I’m a big fan of Artie Lange and The Howard Stern Show. When I saw that he had a new stand up DVD/Blu out I put it at the top of my queue. This is a relatively recent performance, where Artie talks about being off booze and drugs and is performed in a small NY club.

Loved it. Lots of laughs and great stuff from Artie. I follow the Stern show pretty closely and got a lot of the same jokes and stories I’ve heard before, which is a bit of a bummer. Still, having never seen Artie live, it’s a treat to get his stand-up.
