Viewing Notes

Having just recently seen the new version of The Children, I had figured two were related. Turns out they really aren’t except for the killer kids.

This one has a busload of kids that get gassed by some strange plant. One that happens they go around, zombie like with arms outstretched and with black nails. If they touch a person their skin chars and they die.

While it’s sometimes is pretty creepy, sometimes its just outright cheesy. Still, though, for a 1980 horror flick its entertaining. I enjoyed the creepy kids and how they eventually learn to kill them. There’s some pretty hilarious dialogue between the townsfolk and especially from the one lady who continuously cries “WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!? THEY’RE ONLY CHILDREN!” Look lady, if those are just kid, that’d be one thing but the bodies are piling up, so its time to whack those little fuckers!
