Viewing Notes

Tobe Hooper doing a Stephen King short story with a starring role from Robert Englund. You’d think you couldn’t lose with that combo, but really Mangler is so completely absurd it’s hard for it to win.

While I had a good time with Mangler and even had several laugh out loud moments, most of them brought on by Ted “Buffalo Bill” Levine’s over the top acting and his character’s thinking the bad thing was a vampire, it’s hard to say this is a good movie. It’s not.

Hell, it’s going to be hard to sell to anyone a story about a laundry folding machine that gets possessed by a demon and starts killing people. Oh yea there’s also that pesky killer fridge that has a slight storyline in the movie.

Either way, I had some laughs and its entertaining. Not the best film but rediculous enough to be one of those sorta movies.
