Viewing Notes

The most shocking thing about King of the Ants isn’t the graphic violence or weird dream sequences, but that it’s actuall an Asylum film! I don’t know how they got Stuart Gordon involved, but it allowed them to release a decent film.

While I think the movie gets a little slow in parts I was sucked into the story of Shawn Crawley who gets himself into a damn mess with some gangsters who refuse to pay him after he kills Ron Livingston in a pretty brutal murder that ends with him dropping a fridge on him.

All in all, despite a few misteps I found the movie to be pretty entertaining. I’d really like to know what was up with the giant fat ant girl thing that was eating that black stuff from what looked like her cooch or maybe a hole in her body. Strange!
