What I love about the Child’s Play movies is that Chucky, even by today’s special effects standards, is still creepy as hell. Having him voiced by bad Dourif helps, but it’s that DOLL. So eerie and they do a good job of making him somewhat “lifelike”. The best is when they contrast the Chucky Good Guy doll with the regular ones and he has that evil look on his face.
CP2 doesn’t really deliver anything new in the story but it’s more of that poor Andy kid getting hunted down by this psycho in a doll’s body. Really, what’s up with that? That poor Andy kid sure got the raw end of the deal on that one.
