Wasn’t a huge fan of this movie about a young man and his criminal family. He’s thrown into a worse situation when his mom overdoses on heroin.
The biggest issue I had with this film is that despite all these bad things going on, you never feel a real connection to the characters, so they’re just puppets on the screen. The movie tries to jump from drama to drama without giving us any motivations or empathy. Once the ending rolled around, I was frankly done with the story and wished it had ended 1/2 hour or so before that.
