I am not a huge fan of the original Scary Movie films, but at least they made me laugh a couple of times. This one, on the other hand, is absolute rubbish. From stilted acting, to gags that try much to hard to be funny, there is absolutely nothing that work in this movie aside from how gorgeous Ashley Tisdale is. What an absolute waste of time. It’s as if the writers watched the trailers for a couple of recent films, and decided that was enough to satirize them. There is nothing clever or witty about the parody in this one, let alone funny. They even squander a glorious opportunity they had in putting in Lindsay Lohan with Charlie Sheen, for God’s sake! Do not waste time with this terrible film as there are a lot of smarter, funnier parodies available.

As an aside, my fiancee, who absolutely loves Scary Movie 1-4, thought this was garbage as well. So even fans of this series should avoid this fifth entry.
