Steven Soderbergh sees Gina Carano in an MMA fight, writes a movie for her, she’s never acted before, Soderbergh don’t care!
You have to admire that this film was even made. Sure, Carano isn’t the best actor, but has that ever mattered in a B-level action flick? Think about it, are Van Damme or Schwartzenegger going to win any acting awards?
HAYWIRE is Steven Soderbergh attempting a B-level action flick. I’m game. Filling the cast with accomplished actors help give a certain gravitas to the flick and the fight scenes are incredible.
Loved it.
