Viewing Notes

Nic Cage is insane. Him, combined with Ghost Rider and the Directors of Crank seemed like a match made in heaven. Unfortunately, they are hampered by a PG-13 rating.

The Good:

Nic Cage craziness
The Ghost Rider’s design is badass
Awesome action scenes.
Pretty seamless blend of practical and CGI effects.

The Bad:

Nic Cage.
Some stupid cinematography choices.
The kid.
Overall, the plot is pointless.

As a brainless action flick, GHOST RIDER: SOV is harmless. There’s a lot to like, but overall it’s a very flawed movie. But, I had fun with it and still think it’s a vast improvement over the original.
