The problem with Star Trek: Insurrection isn’t that it’s a shit story. The story is fine and works in many ways. The main issue is that it plays like an extended TV episode. Star Trek films should be more epic in scope than the TV counterparts.
Disappointing as a film, but compared to the TV show, it can be considered one of the better episodes.
