There’s an interesting story behind the making of EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING. Originally, Paul Shrader was hired to direct the film and upon completing the film it was scrapped. Renny Harlin was brought in to re-shoot and recut the movie.
Paul Shrader got to release his version on DVD as “Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist.” First off, what a crappy title. Now, I haven’t seen Renny Harlin’s version, but this version is marred by a boring script, really bad make-up (Bubba Teeth should be off limits), and horrible…SyFy level CGI.
I wasn’t expecting much, but Dominion is way more amateur than I was expecting.
