Overview

Princess Leia is captured and held hostage by the evil Imperial forces in their effort to take over the galactic Empire. Venturesome Luke Skywalker and dashing captain Han Solo team together with the loveable robot duo R2-D2 and C-3PO to rescue the beautiful princess and restore peace and justice in the Empire.

When will George Lucas get it?!

I watched the original theatrical cuts for the first time in 13 years and it’s somewhat emotional. The theatrical cuts are perfect. No need for extra CGI or scenes.

I really wish Lucas would see the need for the preservation of the original cuts. He’s shortchanging so many of the one’s responsible for his career in the first place. As a kid, I made my parents buy toys and rent the VHS movies countless times. The original Trilogy is perfect. No need for CGI or Prequels. I really wish he’d restore the originals and release a BD version, because I’m not spending $80 on a Blu Ray version that continues to be tinkered with.

I want what was technologically amazing back in 1977. It’s still amazing. Luckily, I now have the DVDs which include the laserdisc versions. Widescreen (but Letterboxed) and fully reserved. These movies work better in this form than any other cut or Sci Fi film for that matter.

How can we make Lucas see the light?!
