Having defeated the best fighters of the Imperial Japanese army in occupied Shanghai, Ip Man and his family settle in post-war Hong Kong. While not as epic as the first, IP MAN 2 is still an excellent martial arts flick centered around the life of Bruce Lee’s mentor Ip Man.
I think this role is Donnie Yen’s most rounded performance. He’s great in the role and shows that Yen is much more than just an action star.
