Overview

Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power as a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.

Viewing Notes

I never caught this when it came out because of the horrible reviews it received. But, then something happened; I re-watched the original! Guess what, the original is dumb also.

With that realization out of the way, I could give the CLASH OF THE TITANS remake a fair chance. And, for the most part, I enjoyed it!

Visually, the film is awesome. I’m a sucker for these types of films and if there’s a scene that will look great painted on the side of a van, I’m down. CLASH OF THE TITANS has a handful of visually stunning (in 2D) sequences that I had a lot of fun with.

Yes, the story is dumb and clunky. Yes the acting is a bit off and Sam Worthington has the charisma of a bowl of soup. But, I can’t help at applaud the attempt of spectacle on display here.
