Four Lions tells the story of a group of British jihadists who push their abstract dreams of glory to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their competing ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and entirely plausible) farce.

FOUR LIONS has some comedic balls. Taking a subject like Suicide Bombers into a comedy is a risky thing. Thankfully, director Christopher Morris makes it work here and FOUR LIONS works on all levels. Funny, but not pandering to an audience, Morris weaves jokes in and out of the story without pausing to see if you “got it.” It’s this approach that really makes me love the movie and makes it ripe for revisiting.
