Overview
A group of ruthless gangsters, an unknown woman and an escaped convict have met, in The Forest of Resurrection, the 444th portal to the other side. Their troubles start when those once killed and buried in the forest come back from the dead.

Viewing Notes
I had high hopes for VERSUS. Directed by Ryûhei Kitamura (Midnight Meat Train, Azumi), I had high hopes. Sure, this was an earlier film by Kitamura, but I was willing to forgive a lot. After all the praise I’ve heard, I wasn’t completely sold on VERSUS. My overall reaction was “meh.”
Oh well, you can’t love all cult flicks.
