I did not want this movie. A remake of one of my favorite horror movies, Let The Right One In, did not need to happen as far as I was concerned. Boy, was I wrong.
Matt Reeves surprised me with his take on the source material with Let Me In. By casting Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz, Reeves ensured the film would rival the original. Plus, add in a few more elements such as more threatening bullies and an amazing car crash scene, and you have remake gold.
It’s rare that I’d like a remake as much as the original. That rarely happens. However, while I like Let The Right One In a tad more, Let Me In is still one of my favorite Horror flicks of 2010.
