Of course when we all saw M. Night Shyamalan’s name on this film we all chuckled. It’s actually a shame his name is all over Devil. In fact, Devil is based on a story idea and produced by Shyamalan, but the screen play is credited to Brian Nelson and the film is expertly directed by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle.
Devil is a tight narrative, tense in all the right places, and keeps you interested all the way through. The acting is strong and the Dowdles do an expert job keeping us all guessing.
This flick was a huge surprise to me, I really loved it. At 80 minutes, it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome and is worth watching.
