Surprisingly directed (and almost disowned) by a woman director, The Slumber Party Massacre is actually a smart spoof on slasher flicks. Originally written as a spoof but filmed 100% as a legitimate slasher flick, The Slumber Party Massacre has a sharp wit to it and is extremely enjoyable to watch. Yes, it has it’s exploitive moments and has one of the most awkwardly handled nude group shower scenes I’ve ever seen. (Yes, more awkward than Starship Troopers.)
