Viewing Notes

Thinking they had mined the story of Michael Myers to its full conclusion, Halloween’s original creators wanted to take the series in a new direction.  Taking the anthology idea of Creepshow, Halloween III: Season of the Witch was intended to launch the Halloween franchise into a yearly anthology series.  I can get behind this idea whole heartedly, however, the movie going public didn’t like the idea and missed Michael Myers.  Halloween as a yearly anthology franchise was abandoned, leading to derivative sequels of the original Halloween story line.
