Was expecting a little bit of sleazy Nazisploitation (since this is considered one of the films to kick-start that subgenre). However, what I got was an amazing look at post-WWII Germany and people trying to move on with their lives even after performing atrocities during the Nazi occupation.
Wonderful performances and a prime example on showing without telling. So many scenes told so much with just looks and body language. A really stunning film.
