I’ve had no experience with THE BATMAN animated series, because it’s the one that came after Paul Dini and Bruce Timm’s BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES and the Diniverse had been effectively canceled; I wanted none of it as a result.
I can’t speak to the actual series, but, to my surprise, I actually like BATMAN VS DRACULA, even as wacky villain as a vampire is. The movie does a nice job of balancing the light and the dark and doesn’t get too silly, while at the same time putting on some great action sequences. I wish it had been a little more hard core with the vampires, but admittedly it’s more for kids.
It’s not as great as the Diniverse, but it’s definitely worth a watch.
