JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM might be the weakest of the DC Universe animated movies.
It’s unfortunate, because it was Dwayne McDuffie’s last script before he passed, and it brought Kevin Conway and Tim Daly back as Bats and Supes, and those two should always voice those characters. But, the script is really weak.
Some of the plot devices that are used to supposedly stop these heroes are weak, especially Green Lantern’s, and I refuse to believe that Batman would think up something so incredibly lame or that certain characters would act like they do here. DOOM also moves just like a JUSTICE LEAGUE episode, and, while not a bad thing, it just doesn’t pace like it should for a “movie.”
The upside is that the voice acting is superb, but that’s no surprise, given that the old JUSTICE LEAGUE gang was on board.
Nerd Point of order: why was Barry Allen The Flash in this movie, when Wally West is The Flash in the series? If that’s the case, then Michael Rosenbaum shouldn’t have voiced in DOOM.
