ICE CREAM MAN isn’t a good movie in any normal cinema-goer sense of the word, but it is a lot of bad fun. It’s remniscent of THE GOONIES or MONSTER SQUAD, but with a horrible script, low production value, and a batch of unrecognizable actors. But, there are a lot of good ideas here and a ton of great, non-sensical one-liners that make it frosty fun.
One can never expect much out of a Clint Howard movie, as he’s not exactly a participant in many critically acclaimed movies, but ICE CREAM MAN is a real treat.
