IN BRUGES surprised me a few years ago when I rented it on a lark, hearing only that it was good. It blew me away with its complexity and its laughs, and, years later, it still holds up.
Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson are absolutely magnetic as the two hitman, and there’s just enough of Fiennes’ over the top bossman without dousing you in his excesses.
I wholly admire this film for its ability to stir your emotions and toss in black levity to make it all more palatable.
