Overview
Tired of the crime overrunning the streets of Boston, Irish Catholic twin brothers Conner and Murphy are inspired by their faith to cleanse their hometown of evil with their own brand of zealous vigilante justice. As they hunt down and kill one notorious gangster after another, they become controversial folk heroes in the community. But Paul Smecker, an eccentric FBI agent, is fast closing in on their blood-soaked trail.

Viewing Notes
I don’t care what anyone says, I love THE BOONDOCK SAINTS. After so many viewings it’s lost some of its charm, but it’s still stuck in my head.
Yeah yeah, Norman Reedus has the worse Irish accent since David Boreanaz in ANGEL and at times the film tries to be a little too Tarantino, but that’s okay with me. I still love it and make no apologies; the good in the movie far outweighs the bad. It’s an almost perfect realistic-esque vigilante fantasy along the lines of KICK-ASS.
If only BOONDOCK SAINTS II hadn’t happened…le’sigh.
