Viewing Notes

The overly handsome Jonathan Tayor Thomas is one of those actors that should’ve been bigger and done more, but he winds up in a movie like I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS, which tries so hard, but ends up failing.

The movie starts out pleasant enough, and is actually funny in some places for a Disney Channel movie. But then, at some point I can’t really put my finger on, the movie just runs out of gas and starts to become quite tired. It’s as if every gag that could happen, does, and nothing unexpected occurs. It feels like the script writers were trying way too hard with no real inspiration.

It’s choices like these that remind me why JTT hasn’t been seen on Earth since this movie was made. He dug his own Santa-themed acting coffin with this one.
