Viewing Notes

What a heartwarming, yet scary, propisition it is to realize that all of this will some day fall away. Loss of function, loss of loved ones, and all around loss all literally scare me, however narcissistic that fear is. YOUNG@HEART gives me some heart, though, that life can still be lived when I hit the silver age of my life.

YOUNG@HEART could’ve been pandering and picturesque like a GOLDEN GIRLS retrospective, but director Stephen Walker guides the viewer through the joy and creativity, the lows of loss, and to the resiliency that is bred among them. It’s both heartwarming and thought-provoking about my own mortality.
