2009’s overhyped summer comedy was THE HANGOVER; this summer it’s BRIDESMAIDS. I really love Paul Feig, but it’s too bad he opted to put the director’s cut out as the first run instead of the one that should’ve been released. The movie is genuinely funny in parts and I appreciated its heart, but it drags about 20 minutes too long with some jokes are flogged to near-death.
