THE GIANT MECHANICAL MAN is a film that feels as if it wants to be bigger than it is, but doesn’t quite get there. It feels stuck between broad comedy with Topher Grace’s motivational speaker, and something more quirky like GARDEN STATE (for lack of a better comparison).
