- Divided into two parts: before Courtney and after Courtney
- Kurt seemed like a happy kid, but it’s clear his mother was lost and his dad unemotional
- Donald Cobain looks so much like my own dad and acts like him
- He really didn’t like to be embarrassed and that followed him his whole life, culminating with the Vanity Fair article and then somehow him figuring out that Courtney was thinking about cheating on him. Did he sing In the Pines during Unplugged as a result?
- couldn’t find acceptance. Mom to Dad to grandparents. His whole life he just wanted to please his mom;THen it was too much
- No reaction from Courtney on using drugs while pregnant or Vanity Fair report
- Courtney Love looks just like Kurt’s mom
- Kurt’s dad seems very unemotional and also nervous
- Very heavy
- Creepy that Hole’s guitarist filmed all that footage of them at home
- Kurt very clearly wanted success, but overwhelmed by the attention
- Thought Frances Bean would save him, but that Vanity Fair’s article’s castoff sent him over the edge
- Listen to Off Camera with Dave Grohl, Grohl had what Cobain and Novaselic didn’t: family
- Great animation taking his drawings, reminded of Frida
- Abrupt ending: don’t cover the suicide or his last days at all
- Missing Dave Grohl aside from pics and a few audio clips
- Ends abruptly. No talk about the intervention that Courtney arranged or him then going to a detox facility and escaping back to Seattle
