Viewing Notes

Third of the Universal original Dracula films. Lon Chaney, Jr is great, but my absolute favorite character is that of the town’s doctor played by Frank Craven. His role as the one believer of the vampire in town, in cahoots with a Hungarian doctor/vampire mythology expert. He’s both funny and earnest.

First film to show a vampire/bat transformation on screen, an it doesn’t look bad at all. Actually quite impressive.
