This came out around the time I was not watching a lot of animation, so I don’t have the fondness for it that many people do. I was in college and could care less about animated giants at the time - though I was strangely obsessed with the Pokemon cartoon, go figure. I do see how special this film is now and wish I could go back and see it in a kid’s eyes. I’m sure I would connect even more then. Still, it’s fantastic and I hope to revisit it again in the future.
