Nakamura made a film a few years ago, GOLDEN SLUMBER, which quickly shot to my top 10 and this was his festival hit before that one. A time-hopping, intermingled tale of the end of the world and people connected through an early punk band’s under appreciated hit. The way he tells these stories is perfect and really puts you in the scene. I only hope that I can start to scavenge up more of his films, especially the other in his, unrelated, music centric trilogy.
