Two gay men living in St. Tropez have their lives turned upside down when the son of one of the men announces he is getting married. They try to conceal their lifestyle and their ownership of the transvestite club downstairs when the fiancée and her parents come for dinner.

Finally got to watch this original film that inspired the remake, THE BIRDCAGE. This is still funny but seems also strangely more serious. Maybe it’s the translation of humor between countries. I do love a few things that they did differently here, like the parade of drag queens coming into the apartment right after they figure out that Albin is a man. Hilarious.
