Gaspar Noé was asked to direct three TV commercials about AIDS, commissionned by Ministry for Health. The first one was “straight”, the second one was “homosexual” and the third one was “Africa”. After an artistic disagreement Gaspar Noé required that the first two spots should use the nickname “Roberto Keller” instead of his real name. He didn’t direct the third one. These short films show three meeting places: bar, community party, and a reception with friends. Shot in one-sequence in almost real conditions with extras chosen on site.
