Overview

Tatsusaburo Sunagawa, the assistant underboss of the Morita Family, ousts Yukichi Matsuura, Matsuura Family head, from his position as underboss of the main Morita Family and took his position. This was due to the incident in which Kenji Kano, the underboss of the Matsuura Family, beat to death the civilian Takatsu. At the same time, Sunagawa restarts the “Commercial Mutual Aid Association,” which had stalled due to Matsuura’s opposition, and intensifies efforts to recruit members. In response, Tojo, the deputy leader of the Domoto-gumi, who is Kano’s sworn brother, becomes furious when he learns of the methods Sunagawa and others are using to force members into their association plans.
