Overview
Ryūji reunites with Kazuo Ikeyama, a key witness in the corruption scandal surrounding the West Osaka Urban Development Project five years prior – the very case that cost Ryūji his prosecutor’s post. Determined to drag Ikeyama into court, Ryūji’s investigation hits a snag. However, whilst uncovering the truth behind a social welfare fraud case stemming from an apartment eviction dispute, he encounters Onishi, a day labourer holding the key to the corruption scandal. Eleven years prior, Onishi’s son had died in a suspicious accident at a quarry linked to Ikeyama, then a corporate henchman.Ryuji finds a lead to solving the corruption case from five years ago through this eleven-year-old incident…
