Mindcandy Volume 2: Amiga Demos (2007)

Directed by

Overview

In 1985, a home computer was born that would bring the concept of multimedia to the masses—not from IBM, not from Apple, but from Commodore. Its name was Amiga. It did not take long for an underground scene to rise up and unleash the hidden powers that these seemingly simple machines had to offer. Demos were the quickest way to leave the biggest impression, to express creativity, or to just get attention. Through the 90s, demos evolved into music video-like animations, and the Amiga led the demos on the bleeding edge of design. Long after Commodore ceased production of the Amiga, demos were still created to maintain its glory.
