Viewing Notes
This was the looniest film I’ve seen in a long time. A crazy mix of blood, gore, dumb jokes, and musical interludes. Sort of like TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE meets THE SOUND OF MUSIC. The humor has you groaning and laughing at the same time.
It has a Sam Raimi-like visual energy that keeps the momentum going, jumping quickly from one thing to another. At two hours, it might be a little long, but the late night festival crowd was into it, and made it a lot of fun.
