Brosnan's first Bond film and it was a pretty good start. It was like a complete reboot of the franchise. Besides Brosnan, there's a new director, a new Moneypenny, and a new "M" in Judi Dench. Overall, it seems to have a different feel than all the previous Bond films. I liked the action scenes and the finale on the giant satellite dish. I was surprised how much I had forgotten about this film, including Minnie Driver's bit part. Joe Don Baker plays a CIA agent and I thought it was funny that, just two films earlier, he was one of the villains, and he approaches both roles with the same blustery personality.
