Viewing Notes

This movie is the exact same length as AMOUR. That movie has a 5 minute scene of a man snipping flowers off their stems and it felt about half as long as this movie.

Hugh Jackman is a horrible fighting robot coach who takes in his obnoxious son and then spends half the movie making sure the boy knows his father absolutely despises him. When he’s not berating the boy, he’s ignoring the kid’s obvious aptitude for the sport. Some shockingly boring robot fighting happens, a robot dance scene isn’t even fun and then there are tears during a super long, dull robot championship fight.

The one saving grace is Evangeline Lilly who is still hot and surprisingly very non-Kateish. But then she cries for no reason and I lost respect for her character being sucked in by the emotional black hole that is this movie.
