Viewing Notes

I read about this movie in Zack Carlson’s Video Hate Squad! series on Badass Digest (http://badassdigest.com/2011/12/29/video-hate-squad-trapped-alive/) and new it had to be seen ASAP. So, Josh Johnson (@VHSisthetruth) came over for another in our Videogeddon series and we watched this. It’s a movie that combines several genres (there’s a hostage movie here, a trapped live [heh] flick and, to top it off, a monster movie) and does none of them particularly well but there’s enough talent to keep it considerably entertaining while stumbling. The lead woman (the one that’s not one of the hostages) has perhaps the greatest expository monologues in the history of movies. It’s a performance worthy of some sort of award.
